Materials & heat treatment
Nominal chemical grades listed below are starting points. Final hardness band and sub-zero / temper protocol are matched to your material stream (filled vs. unfilled plastic, wood species moisture, etc.). Mention your current failure mode—chipping, polishing, or heat checking—in the inquiry form.

Expert selection notes
Granulator Hob Knife should be treated as a replacement knife reference inside the Rotor Inserts and Hob Cutters family, not as a universal standard size. For a reliable quote, confirm the installed position, edge direction, hole pattern, thickness, and the photos of the used knife before choosing steel grade or heat treatment.
If the blade works against a fixed bed knife, counter knife, screen, die plate, or anvil, send photos of both sides of the cutting pair. Most premature wear or dust problems come from the full cutting system, not from the moving knife alone.
Drawing & OEM matching
For production intent, share PDF/DXF drawings or high-resolution photos with a scale reference. Leader Blades cross-checks mounting geometry against similar profiles in the Rotor Inserts and Hob Cutters before confirming material and delivery week.
